TONY AND ALISHA: OKLAHOMA WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

Remember Tony and Alisha’s engagement session? Well the wedding followed pretty quickly. Let me tell you this girl is a TROOPER! Our engagement session was interrupted by high winds so we had to use what images we had and roll with it. I told her that we could meet again to finish the session but with planning the wedding, she was busy. Then comes the wedding…had plans to do portraits in two very beautiful locations….but instead…RAIN. I think I was more disappointed than her about it…she maintained a beautiful smile and enjoyed her wedding day. We have plans to get some shots next month with Christmas lights, since she told me she originally wanted a Christmas wedding. Im looking forward to it and making sure this couple has plenty of beautiful images! In the meantime, here’s what we have…so far…

:)

Thanks Alisha for your patience.

I always love this time of year….

Every single year, I take photographs of my children when the leaves begin to change. I always get really busy with photo sessions too because most people think like me and agree, FALL is the best time for photos!!  I was looking at last year’s photos of the kiddos and just noticing all of the changes in only one short year. Caleb (the dark headed boy) has changed the most. He has lost the baby fat in his cheeks and has grown taller, nearly passing his older brother (he is only older by 18 months, 6 days, and 19 hours lol) and just looks more like a young man to me. Jae Lynn, the youngest (the last one in photo) has lost all of those cute baby teeth and has been quite the toothless wonder for some time but finally has some front teeth growing in.  As you can see, 3 of these children are red heads (no I dont have red hair, but it comes from my side of the family, Dad was Norwegian) so they look terrific in the fall!   They are growing up so fast. My oldest will be 14 on his next birthday. Say What?!!

Trust me when I tell you those sweet faces you see are kissed numerous of times every day by me.  I love them.

Folks, listen to me, document it all. Everything you possibly can. Memories do fade.

And while I always say backdrop is key, in these photos, we didn’t go anywhere fancy, no special park or anything. Just walked over to the neighbors who had a gorgeous tree and the rest is history.

As far as the second photo, every year I take a photo of the kids jumping. It was something silly that turned into a tradition. We have already been discussing this year’s photo.

If you are interested in Fall photos, now is the time to book!

HALLIE AND CHAD: EL RENO WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

Like most clients, Hallie and I first started communicating via email. We definitely clicked and it was obvious she was crazy about Chad. She told me about her dogs Zoey and Gracie, who I later got to meet and include in our engagement session. Then she told me about the night Chad proposed, love notes all over the floor and one last note asking her to be his wife. We officially met in March for the e-session and as it got closer to August, the emails started again with the wedding details. I was definitely excited about shooting this wedding because I knew how Hallie poured her heart into every detail of her wedding day. Definitely some of the nicest people you could ever meet and I look forward to working with this family again. Hallie and Chad, congrats!

ANTONIO AND ALISHA: OKLAHOMA CITY ENGAGEMENT SESSION

I need to catch up on my blog! I am posting Tony and Alisha’s E-session but I actually just shot their wedding a few days ago! Unfortunately, it rained so we are meeting again next week to catch some more photos. This couple has been more than troopers. I watched her on her wedding day handle various things that did not quite go as planned, and a major disappointment related to a family issue all with grace. Did she shed some tears, yes. It broke my heart.  Nonetheless, this beautiful young woman ended her day with laughter and a smile. I really am looking forward to finishing up our session and sharing her wedding photos soon!

ROB AND RACHEL: OKLAHOMA CITY FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHER

Meet a good friend of mine, Rob and his beautiful wife and children. I know I say this in every post but it really is difficult to pick the photos to post on the blog. I have photographed many children and these precious kids are some of the most photogenic children I have been around. Soon as I met them at the park for the shoot, the first words to me were from a sweet little three year old “You’re going to take my picture.” The entire session was fantastic. Rob, thank you for your friendship, you have a gorgeous family! Enjoy your photos!
